Description
These custom-wound AC induction motors can produce an amazing amount of power and torque at excellent levels of efficiency. Some of the benefits of an AC induction motor are a longer power band, higher RPM, regenerative braking, and easy reversing. They do not require contactor pre-charge resistors or diodes. This is the motor used in the E1 project and the Native TTXGP winning bike.
The AC 20 motor is 1 1/2" longer derivative of the AC 9/AC 15 motors. This motor produces 65 horsepower out to 5100 RPM and 82 ft./lbs. of torque at 96 volts/650 amps. This motor style is another very popular choice for motorcycles.
The AC 23 motor is same size as its sister motor the AC-20, but has been developed to produce more torque. On the same voltage and amperage as above (96 volt/650 amps), this motor produces 128 ft./lbs. of torque and 56 horsepower out to 3300 RPM.
Typical applications for which this motor can be applied:
Golf Car (Golf cart application comes with controller mounting plate)
Motorcycle
Utility Vehicles
Pump
All AC drive kits include: Motor, Controller, Wire Harness, Display (Note: Select the Curtis 840 Display for the SE series controller, and the Curtis 3140 for the F series controller)
