Description
These custom-wound AC induction motors can produce an amazing amount of power and torque at excellent levels of efficiency. Some of the benefits of an AC induction motor are a longer power band, higher RPM, regenerative braking, and easy reversing. They do not require contactor pre-charge resistors or diodes.
The AC 35 motor is designed for use in utility and light automotive applications (up to 2250 lbs). It is capable of producing 63 horsepower at 2900 RPM while delivering 129 ft-lbs. of torque at 96 Volts, and 650 amps(1238-7601). It is available in several different configurations depending on your needs.
In addition to the AC 35 motor HPEVS is producing a second version of the same motor size and calling it AC 34. This motor was designed to extend the "knee" out further into the RPM range. So with the same 96 volt/650 amp controller(1238-7601), the torque reduces a bit down to 107 ft-lbs. of torque, the the horsepower increases to 65 horsepower with the knee extending out to 3800 RPM.
