SHIPPING & RETURNS POLICY

International Shipping (outside the USA):

Electric Motorsport ships to most countries worldwide (check our restricted countries list below prior to placing an order). The buyer is responsible for all associated shipping charges including customs duties, taxes, and fees assessed in transit and at the destination country. Please review your country's import procedures and customs tax rates prior to purchasing from us. We always indicate the full customs value on the international invoice - we cannot and will not falsify commercial invoices with lower values to avoid import taxes. We do our best to ship all orders as quickly as possible, but international orders require additional paperwork and we often have to request a special pickup, so please plan accordingly and be patient.

Shipping Quotes

To get a shipping quote: 

1. Add the item to your shopping cart.

2. Click on the Shopping Cart button and look toward the bottom left of the screen where is says "Estimate Shipping"

3. Enter your country, state/province, and postal code. Click "Get a Quote"

Shipping quotes do not include customs duties, taxes, fees, or VAT.

If the shopping cart does not produce a quote it may be due to the weight or other limiting factors. If this happens, please send an email to shipping@electricmotorsport.com or use the Help Desk to ask for a custom shipping quote. When asking for a custom shipping quote, include an itemized list or screenshot of your cart and your full shipping address. 

Shipping Batteries:

Our Lithium Ion Batteries are considered fully regulated Dangerous Goods. We are certified to ship lithium batteries by ground to Canada and by air to many countries outside of the USA. Not all countries are served. Please check with us before buying. The international Dangerous Goods shipping process can be complicated, and requires special paperwork and packaging, so please allow several additional days for shipping preparation. Due to their complex shipping nature and potential for customer mishandling, we only sell and ship new batteries internationally - we will not ship used, surplus, or new old stock batteries internationally. Batteries cannot be returned

Shipping Methods:

* Use Your Own Shipping Account (Preferred):

The easiest and most reliable way to receive your goods in a timely manner is to provide your own UPS or FedEx account number for billing of actual shipping charges and any customs duties, taxes, fees. If you select this shipping method you will need to send an email to shipping@electricmotorsport.com or via the Help Desk with the following information: 1. Carrier, 2. Account Number, 3. Postal Code where you receive your shipping bill, 4. Selected Shipping Service. 

* FedEx is our preferred carrier for international shipping. The buyer must provide their own FedEx account number for billing of duties/taxes/fees associated with customs clearance and brokerage if any apply. Please provide your FedEx account number in a note at checkout to avoid delays in processing. Some items may be on backorder and may take longer to ship than others.

Shipping in the United States:

We ship to any state within the continental United States and its territories. We offer several shipping options. Most items ship within 1 to 3 business days (Monday - Friday) of the order placed. Some items may be on backorder and may take longer to ship. Orders placed after 2:00pm EST will not ship the same day unless otherwise stated by a Sales Representative. A tracking number is not always available in our office and may take time to receive. In the event that items ordered are damaged or lost during the shipping process, the recovery time to settle the case with carriers is a lengthy one (sometimes several months). We will try to speed this process along as much as possible. Our Company charges a handling fee on all items shipped. At times we may opt to have your items drop-shipped directly from our supplier to save travel time; if this requires a change in shipping carrier or method, you will not be charged for any increase in pricing unless it is at your request. 

Split Shipments:

Some orders will have special order items, or items that are temporarily out of stock. We are happy to split the shipment and send whatever is in stock first, if possible. In some cases this may incur additional shipping costs. Please let us know if you need your shipment split so that we may contact you about any additional costs. 


Shipping Estimates:

Quoted shipping rates are an estimate of shipping charges. Actual shipping charges may vary and do not include foreign counties import taxes, duties, storage, or possible brokerage fees.

Estimated Domestic Shipping Transit Times:

Scheduled business days and delivery schedules are revised occasionally due to changes in distribution and volume, especially during holiday periods. Service to some remote areas also may require additional delivery days.

 

Returns / Cancellations / Exchanges:

Returns:

Return timeframe: Returnable items must be be authorized within 30 days of purchase.

Authorization: Items returned without authorization from Electric Motorsport will be refused. Authorized returns will be issused an RMA number. Return shipments without an RMA number clearly written on the outside of the shipping container will be refused. 

Condition/Functionality: Returns must be received in new, unused, full working condition - We will test functionality and inspect cosmetic condition. No refund will be given for items that are not in new, unused, fully working condition and the customer will be responsible for any further shipping charges associated with sending the item back.

Restocking Fee: All returned items will be subjected to a minumum 20% restocking fee.

Non-returnable Items: Any item containing software is not returnable (ie. controller calibrating hardware/software bundles). Cut bulk wire and cable are not returnable. Wires and cables that are parts of motor drive systems or BMS systems, are returnable and must be included with said system returns. Items purchased from our Opportunity Buys section and from our eBay page are not returnable. Batteries are not returnable - our batteries are considered Hazardous, dangerous, and illegal to ship without proper certification. 

Return shipping: Shipping charges are not refundable.

Cancellations:

Please call us immediately if you need to cancel an order - leave a message with your name, order number, and items to be cancelled if nobody answers. We will do our best to cancel if possible - that being said, some special order items cannot be cancelled if the purchase order has already been placed with the manufacturer. Some orders cannot be cancelled if they have already been processed and shipped. If your order can be cancelled, there will be a 10% cancellation fee taken of of your refund. 

Exchanges:

Some items in new, unused, full working condition can be exchanged. Please call us to propose an exchange and we will do our best to accommodate you. 

Problems with your order:

If an item is being returned due to our error, we will either refund your item or offer a store credit. If you have a defective item, we may direct you to send your product directly to the manufacturer. Please do not attempt to send an item back to us unless you obtain an RMA number and are instructed to do so.

Lost / Damaged Shipments:

If your shipment is lost or damaged in transit, please call immediately. Each shipment is insured. However, if your package is delivered and then is missing after the carrier delivers, it is not the responsibility of Electric Motorsport to replace it unless you specifically requested a signature required on delivery. Please request any needed information or paperwork to file your insurance claim.
