GBS State-Of-Charge SOC Gauge With Low Voltage Disconnect (LVD) Function

The SOC serves two functions: 1) indicating the State-Of-Charge status of a battery pack; 2) disconnecting electrical loads from Li-ion battery pack when it becomes discharged. This will prevent damage and reduction of capacity due to over-discharging. SOC is designed as part of low cost solution for low voltage systems (48V and below), such as golf carts. A complete low cost solution includes Li-ion battery pack, cell balancers, Li-ion battery charger and SOC gauge.


- Two inputs: Key Switch and Ground;
- Three outputs: Non-delayed Output, Delayed Output and Analog Output.

SOC Product Specifications:

- One SOC circuit is required per battery pack or application
- Input voltage (Key Switch) setting / jumper selection: 12V / 24V / 36V / 48V
(select one)
- Disconnect threshold voltages: 11.6V / 23.2V / 34.8V / 46.4V
(corresponding to input voltage setting)
- Output voltages (non-delayed and delayed): Equal Input Voltage (Key Switch)
- Power On time delay: 0 second for non-delayed output and 5 seconds for
delayed output
- Disconnect time delay: 15 seconds for non-delayed output and 30 seconds for
delayed output
- Max LVD output current: 2.0 A continuous
- Four LED lights indicating capacity of 0-25%, 26-50%, 51-75% and 76-100%
- An analog output to drive external SOC meter for lead acid battery.
